The CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) had taken it upon themselves to try and stop the sales of raw chemicals that could be used for the manufacture of firecrackers. Tannerite Exploding Target company does not sell raw chemicals to build firecrackers. In an effort to work in concert with federal agencies, Tannerite agreed to not sell raw, pyro-related chemicals that are commonly used to build firecrackers (even though there is no particular law against that type of business). In fact, Tannerite is still a legal product, and is specifically exempted by CPSC agency in writing. The CPSC sent out a news release that was not only misleading, but noninclusive and we are in the process of making them print a clarification to their news release which was obviously designed to confuse the readers.
